My Nokia C7 Post Got Featured!

Breathe in, breathe out.

I was just minding my own business, killing the sleepiness I'm feeling this time in the afternoon when I decided to check on my twitter account. Lo and behold, a twitter-er mentioned me and a post I did on what I wanted for Christmas.

@WOMWorldNokia had this tweeted,

Cathy’s (@BrazenLass) Christmas wish this year: a Nokia C7!http://bit.ly/ekk2WJ

Now, ain't that nice?! The post was written by CeciliaD. Whoever you are, thanks for linking to my post...  :)

My Christmas Wish This Year: A NOKIA C7!

As many of you already know, I'm pretty much with child right now. Some say it looks like it's about to pop any time now, but if you ask me, I think there's pretty much enough time for this baby to still practice contractions and stretches and funny movements right until her ripe old time to "pop" out.

So what I've been doing most of the time now is imagining what I would be doing at home during my maternity leave - aside from taking care of the baby, of course. And if you haven't noticed yet, I blog, a lot, so maybe I'd be doing more of that or maybe just picture-taking or filming whatever it is that catches my interest by February or March because we currently still don't have our very own internet connection at home. It maybe more of my pretty little angel or some of her "adventures" so to speak.

So I ask, do I want a Nokia C7 for Christmas? Or maybe you're asking, why does she want a Nokia C7 this early if she's just wondering what to do in February?!

Why on earth not?!

First and foremost, the Nokia C7 is really shiny - and shiny things just make me want it more. It's made of polished stainless steel and glass - perfect for catching my Phoenix's attention for pictures, right? It has 3.5" high-resolution display, and what's cutest is that it's a touch screen thing also! Awwww....

What else caught my attention? Imagine two months (because that's how long a maternity leave is) without your usual office internet connection - no facebook, no twitter, no email, and no blog! So how can you post those lovely pictures and crazy videos you'll take with the Nokia C7's 8 megapixel camera?!

Nokia C7 has a lovely lovely feature - it has integrated social networking sites, particularly facebook and twitter. Which means I'll be alive and online most of the time - updating my status every now and then, getting comments or whatnots for pictures and vids. Oooohhhh... Fancy that!

Oh, and imagine getting lost in the village - if that's even possible - Nokia C7 has GPS.  :)

Still wondering why I'd like a Nokia C7 for Christmas?!

Finally! Caught Phoenix's movements on Cam!

At last, my pretty girl has finally allowed me to catch some of her movements on cam.

Because I', wearing a patterned dress in the video, just watch out for distortions on the patterns...  :)

I also had this thing made to cover up the ugly "vase" I used for my office plant. Plus, something pretty special to look at every now and then..

Baby Bed for Phoenix

Tom & I both think this was a better investment than buying just a crib.

*forgive our floor though, we haven't had the time to "renovate" just yet*

Tom assembling the thing

still on it!

frame's done!

added the mattress and removing ugly sticker

finished! with sample beddings and a guest..  :)

We got this baby bed for only P2,799.75 at Baby Company during SM's Thanksgiving Sale, include the mattress and a bathing sponge and we paid just about P3,800 all in all.

We can now conclude that we both love love love SM Advantage Card now!  Lol!

I wrote a poem. And I kept it hidden for more than 3 years. Anyway, just bear with me.

Seeking the one thing I cannot find
Leaves me wondering and wishing for the light
Staring at the stars and the moon shining
I wander back to the past that has left me broken

Staring at nothing, talking to my shadow
Looking beyond the world around me I see
There's a hand guiding me, touching my hand
Saying, it's not yet time my child, it's not yet time.

Don't push too hard, don't force it upon you
Open your heart and feel the pain
The pain of losing will make you strong
Stronger and wiser beyond your years.

It's not yet time my child, it's not yet time
The person you're longing for may not even be right
But this thing I know since the day you were born
All these were bound to happen because I planned it all.

My plans for you I cannot reveal
The journey to the end you might not take in
The cries, the pain, the tears you may not want today
But be assured I'll soon wipe them away.

The path I made for you I did not make smooth
You need the pebbles my love, to make you strong
The rocks are there for you to learn
That there are times you shouldn't move them to clear your way.

The way is not easy, it has always been that way
I made it that way so you can see
That the life I prepared for you is not a luxury for free.

Be strong my child, don't worry too much
The pain you feel right now will soon pass
The road you go through us not all that
It will soon smooth out, I promise you that.

Don't fret my child, I feel your pain
I hear the cries, I see the tears
Don't be afraid to admit you failed
Because one day this failure will be your strength
One day you'll see your life and look back
You'll see the path that you once trod
You'll realize how rugged and how crooked it was then
And say to yourself that all was worth it Father, thanks again
At that time you'll be better and then you'll know
Success is sweeter when you know you fell
And that there were these days that you hated how it went.

Lol. Emo.

Johnson's Baby Shower Contest

Yep, I joined this contest as I mentioned in one of my previous post. And it was just last night that they tagged me with their wall post, which is found here.

If you can remember, but I'll just repeat it anyway, I mentioned that to show support to the contestants, a LOT of LIKEs is needed. And you all now see where exactly I'm going here. Would you please LIKE their page, and LIKE that wall post?!

For convenience, I'm posting the links here so you all wouldn't have a lot of difficulty looking for the links or the buttons:

This contest runs until January 2011. Just in time since Phoenix is due in February. lol! *I sound so confident!*

Anyway, thanks everyone! Share this to all your friends too. Don't worry, liking Johnson's page won't spam your wall with lots of posts, they're actually a quiet bunch in FB.

Pwetty please with sugar on top?! Thanks!

ps: Aside from liking, kindly say a little prayer too. It sure helps..  ;)

I Want to Migrate!!!

Websites, that is.

I dunno, I've just been wanting to revamp my blog again for how many days now. Re-classify posts, remodel my layout, everything. I've also been dreaming of my own domain.

Hmm, I've been surfing around for information about free hosting, paid hosting, etc. Good thing I found this web hosting site that actually has a lot of information to offer - WebhostingFan.

Their site boasts of a long FAQ page full of the common questions any newbie would want to have answered. It also has a Reviews page, which highlights other web hosting sites and the reviews about each. WebhostingFan also shares web hosting news and updates and it's also connected to social networking sites, hence the simplicity of sharing information all over the webworld.

Maybe I should really sit on the idea on whether to get my own domain now.  :)

Eh sa babae anak ko, bakit ba?!

An open letter (hate mail) for all those na ganito magreact sa mga buntis na babae ang anak. You might want to recall kung kayo ba 'to. If you're not, then disregard.

Ok?

Proving Old Wives Tales Wrong!

Remember my posts about old wives' tales for predicting the gender of an unborn child? I tried the suspended ring test and the Chinese Birth Calendar.

According to the suspended ring test, if the ring swings from side to side, it's a girl, and if swings around in circles, it's a boy. Well, guys and girls, my bad.. I read it the other way around. So to cut it short, that old wife's tale is true with Phoenix (yes, we're naming the baby Phoenix, just that, no second names). The ring from my video swung from side to side which means it's a girl. How come we know that it was correct?! Because we finally had that sonogram last Saturday! Here's a snap on the printed film (I actually hate CUPSI for not having a better ultrasound machine or printer and also for being so stingy they didn't give us more snap shots of Phoenix! Hmph!)

Phoenix sorta looks like me, doesn't she?

The Chinese Birth Calendar was altogether wrong. Boo!

Unboxing the Avent Starter Kit

Bought a newborn starter kit (Avent) online via ebay.ph... Which reminds me, I still have to leave feedback for the seller...  :) Anyway, here's a link to her online store in ebay.ph --> http://shop.ebay.ph/i_heart_sg/m.html

This purchase almost didn't push through because of some scheduling problems for the payment, but thank God, it did, and here it is! I saved, let me see, about 32.5% of the current mall price since I just paid P1,889 (including shipping fees), in SM this set sells for P2,799.75.

first level unboxing... hehe!

First of all, I commend Karisse (the seller) for wrapping it up pretty well. Although the box had one of its corners "harassed", the contents were fairly untouched. And it was sealed. I inspected the plastic wrap, and it was not just something re-attached or re-wrapped, see the pics below too.

the contents have peeped through!

By the way, I apologized to Tom for being so excited. I hurriedly opened the package without him. He was also excited to see it though (since last Friday!) and even sent an SMS this morning that maybe we can open it together, but it was too late. I was already into the contents when his message arrived. Sorry nie!
*I just placed everything back together so he can open it again later at home...*

inventory time! avent newborn starter set contents
So above are the contents of that magical box, same with what was indicated in the box, all looked brand-new and untouched. All in all, there were 8 items (2 x 9oz bottle with 2 hole slow flow teats each = 2 items, 2 x 4oz bottles with 1 hole slow flow teat attached plus 2 extra 1 hole slow flow teats each = 4 items, 1 pacifier and 1 brush).

Overall, I was satisfied with this online purchase. The seller was reliable, and the items complete and the packaging neat and well-cared for. Props for honest sellers with good items and a professional attitude!

So if you want to try to buy something online too, try registering with ebay.ph  and if you're looking for a baby stuff like this newborn starter set, here's Karisse's online store.  :)

Also for more information about Avent products, 'coz maybe you're wondering why go to such trouble looking for an affordable Avent set, here's their site --> http://www.usa.philips.com/c/about-philips-avent/36537/cat/

Honor your Parents...FAIL!

Lovely to Look at...Eh Binay?

Indeed, this couple has been the most enjoyable to look at since Mr. & Mrs. Smith...

On the Side:
Have you heard? One of Bill Clinton's aides shouted at VP Binay and told him to leave  the VIP room in Manila Hotel. Hmm... Doesn't the size of Binay's entourage already speak of something?! He's always very well guarded, you wouldn't think he's just a nuisance or a "palaboy" in the VIP room now, would you?

And all it took to make the pain go away was a facebook birthday greeting. Oh, grow up!
*No pun intended.*

Urges.

Sometimes when I see or read or even hear about things in the internet that was so witty it's funny, I get these urges to start some project of some sort to showcase witty one-liners or sarcastic phrases/sentences that not so many would easily understand. Then the problem pops out:

Who would stay long enough to even understand what I'm saying?!

Ugh.

Maybe that's why I just have this blog.

You May Have NOT Noticed it Yet...

But isn't there something with Quinn Fabray of Glee? Doesn't she look a little familiar or something, you can quite point a finger on it exactly?

Tom and I have been watching Glee now, so far we haven't missed an episode yet from season 2, and hopefully we don't. We've been a little fascinated with Quinn's face and we both think she's pretty, in a sweet yet snotty/cheerleader-ish sort of way. And it just occurred to me early this morning...

Isn't it because sometimes she seems to have something similar with Jessica Alba's face? Not entire like two peas in a pod, but there are certain angles or maybe facial features that's similar with Jessica's. Anyway, for effort, here's a picture of both of them.

Well, that's just my opinion.
What do you think?

Not-so-Mystery After All

Their promo ads said it was a mystery shampoo, but from the day I saw that ad, I immediately knew it was Pantene - apparently we went to the grocery the day after I saw the ad and lo and behold! The new packaging was already displayed, hence, no-brainer.

Anyway.

So as all others did, I joined their online thing, where you register to get your free samples, remember that? I waited and waited and waited, but no, there was no shampoo and conditioner delivery. Until this morning. After months of waiting. It just arrived this morning.

Yep, Pantene. Better late than never.

Her looks cannot deceive

Although I personally cannot say that she really used public funds to get beauty treatments and have cosmetic procedures like Nose Reshaping (Rhinoplasty) and Chin and Cheek Implants performed on her face, but from the looks of it, Jane Cajes really has changed face, hasn't she?

Here's an older photo of her:

And here's the newer one from one of her facebook pages.

And I can't help but notice, is that a Blackberry she's holding?!

Anyway, let's just hope that our justice system does something right about all these issues because aside from allegedly using public funds for personal physical improvement, there have been significantly-priced purchases and services bought from certain suppliers or service providers without ever going through public bidding.

Hmm, you're quite an early worm and a quick study, aren't you? Are these what your parents are teaching you?

You think you know

But you don't.

You don't want to be talked to about these things, you think you know all about it. You think you're wasting your time hearing what we have to say, or even trying to think about the possibility of what really will happen to you. You don't want to talk to anyone about it, or listen to someone talk to you about it. You say you already know what we're talking about. You understand everything and that you just don't think we should meddle with your "religion" anymore. You think this is about religion?! Do you really think we're wasting our time? Don't you really wanna know where you're going?!

Did I Ever Mention?

That finally.... I have tasted and ate, and survived the whole thing, guso (seaweed / agar-agar)?! I tried it yesterday, although one medium-length strand of the thing was accompanied by a tablespoon-full of sautéed ampalaya with egg and rice. It still tasted a bit of the salty-water of the sea, a bit more vinegar would have helped. But let me say, it was not as gruesome as I imagined!

As Promised... Update on Testing OWTs

I posted before that I'm supposed to be testing some old wives' tales about determining the gender of my unborn baby, and that after the weekend, we would be 100% sure already since we'll be having an ultrasound. Well, surprise! We didn't.

I was so disappointed when Dr Cyd told us we still should wait for another month to have our ultrasound. Grr. And I was so hyped over Thursday and Friday because of excitement which all of a sudden turned into disgruntlement because our OB still wants to wait for another month just to have the gender determined. Hmm, I wondered why but she just keeps on telling us that we should wait another month so that the sonologist/ultrasound technician will not commit any mistakes in telling us whether the baby is a boy or a girl.

Hohum. Duh. So we'll just have to wait until November 13 or 14 to finally know.

In the Office and Still Sleepy

Recently I've been finding this time of the morning too...annoying. It's already 9+ AM and I'm just starting to feel that my body's trying to get back on sleep mode. Ugh. I.....need...to...stay....awake....

Whatever. Anyway, I took some shots of my tummy. It's ok, my staff haven't arrived yet when I took these, it was still almost 8AM...

Just turned 22 weeks, and my belly button's starting to shrink and look like a line instead of a hole. Don't bother, didn't take a shot of that... Just so happens that I didn't have much to do this early...  :)

Another OWT to Test - Chinese Birth Calendar

The Chinese Birth Calendar is said to be also so accurate that it can predict the gender correctly almost 99% at a time - according to the Chinese. So how to do it:

  • Determine the month of your conception. If you're like me who's not so sure, then use a conception calculator. The internet is full of these kinda things, y'know. You just have to know how to search for them. So I found one, and took screen shots of the different results, 'coz as you can remember, some inconsistencies with the due dates have come up because of that spotting episode early on this pregnancy. So here are the screenshots (I based my calculation on the expected due dates):

first due date given by first OB was Feb 12.

next was given by Doc Cyd, Feb 19.

So I averaged the 2 and got Feb 15.

So by these, we can now safely say that conception occurred more or less in the month of May.

  • Next, determine the age of the mother by the time she gives birth, so for me, that'll be 26.
  • The ages are enumerated in the vertical axis left-most column, and the month of conception in the horizontal axis top most row. Where 26 and May intersects is the predicted gender of the baby, which is, in my case. Male.

Still, to be absolutely sure, we'll still wait for the ultrasound results... :)

Trying Out an Old Wife's Tale - Baby's Gender

Saw in an article online about this one old wife's tale on predicting the gender of an unborn child, and found this particular one not so hard to do and not so absurd too.

This OWT (old wife's tale) said that if you suspend the mother's wedding ring on a chain or a strand of her hair or the husband's hair above her belly and watch for the direction of the swinging of the pendulum, you can predict the gender of the baby. Per OWT, if the medallion moves in a circular motion, it will be a girl. If it moves back and forth in a line, it will be a boy. It also says that this method is quite accurate. Hmm, let's see.

Does this mean we're having a boy?

We'll have to wait until after the weekend to know for sure.

:)

ps: I suspended my wedding ring on a strand of my hair. The video was taken inside my office.

And I have a cool trivia. While loading the video, pause it for while, there's gonna be the blinking circles in the middle of the video screen. Press your keyboard's arrow keys, and voila! You can play Snakes while waiting for it load.  :)

Annoying Giggling so Early in the Morning

Until now I still don't understand why this 160+-pound guy was so amused by "news" that a certain mayor is linked to Shalani Soledad and allegedly pointed as third-party to Shalani and PNoy's break-up.

A 160-plus-pound guy. Giggling. And I meant GIGGLING, so early this morning, telling me out of nowhere that he read that in a newspaper somewhere. Do I look like I care?!

10-10-10 and that Strong Kick!

What a historic date!

Of course, this day won't come by in the nearest future, so that was pretty special already. Plus a friend of ours delivered her baby boy via cesarean on that date too, at 10 o'clock. Imagine. Congratulations Val & Tonton, welcome to Sean Khaleb!

And of course, we also have something to remember 10-10-10 by! Last night, while we were already lying in bed, talking a bit, waiting for sleepiness to knock us off, Tom asked why in the world I was giggling even though what he was saying wasn't at all funny. So I told him - it's because the baby's moving too much! Night time is when this baby particularly likes to do somersaults and flips or just let us know that it kicks and flails its arms around. So I took Tom's hand and placed it over the spot where he can probably feel the movements, and he talked to the tummy and said, "Strong kick daw beh?"

And so we waited for about a few seconds, and the baby suddenly gave one hard kick! I was laughing and Tom was shouting "Waaahhahaha! It kicked! Kusuga uy!"

Hmm, what do you know, a very obedient baby while still in the womb! I was so proud... Lol!

Anyway, we still have no idea what the gender is, but we have scheduled ourselves to finally have an ultrasound on Saturday, perhaps after our check-up with Doc Cyd.

:)

Bill passed for Longer Maternity Leaves, plus benefits!

Oh how I would love for this to become a law!

The bill, House Bill 2583, was filed by Rep. Winston Castelo citing that maternity leaves for working women should be extended to 84 days for normal deliveries and 100 days for caesarian deliveries. Included is the provision for members of the Social Security System (or SSS) and Government Security Insurance System (or GSIS) shall be paid a daily maternity benefit equivalent to 150 percent of her present basic salary, allowances and other benefits or its cash equivalent for 84 calendar days, for 100 days for high-risk pregnancies.

Also under the bill is that SSS or GSIS should immediately reimburse the 100% maternity benefits advanced by the employer to their pregnant employees. I think currently, they reimburse 50% prior or upon delivery, and the other 50% after delivery. Included in the time frame of course is the tedious paper trail you need to make just to process these reimbursements.

Currently, law provides for 60 days maternity leave for normal deliveries and 78 days for caesarian deliveries. For more details on the outstanding law on maternity benefits, go to this page. For the article on the new bill filed, go here.

Brownout vs. Blackout

Learned something from the AM radio this morning while on the way to work. A certain Mr. Lim was being interviewed and as additional information for the public and for media, he stated the difference between the terms brownout and blackout. He also said that to refer to the correct thing, we all should use the term blackout.

Brownout, apparently, is an ancient term used several years ago when referring to electricity shortages wherein the remedy our power providers do is to lower the voltage of the electricity being distributed in a certain area. This makes the electricity fluctuate, and the lights from being white to brown or yellowish brown, hence the term brownout.

On the other hand, blackout is the term that we should use nowadays, because the power providers don't lower the voltage anymore, they immediately turn off the power distribution in one locality when there isn't enough to go around. So you either have electricity or not. Hence, blackout.

Make Room for the Baby!

Sheesh. I’m already on my 5th month right now and slowly, Tom and I have been looking around the house, trying to see and imagine where we’ll make room for the baby’s room.

Aside from the fact that my tummy has grown bigger and more noticeable and more uncomfortable - from sitting down to getting up, going to bed and up, squatting, etc - nothing else has increased in size. Not our house, nor our lot, nor our purchasing power. So how oh how will we make room for another room?

We thought we can just redo the flooring of the house’s 2nd floor and maybe put linoleum or maybe vinyl tiles. Repaint part of the walls while we still can’t extend or move one wall forward for bigger space or something. So the next big thing to think about are the colors.

I'd still choose blue even if it's a girl....  :)
According to interior designer Betsy Burnham (via The Canadian Press), we shouldn’t just plan for a cutesy, baby-ish room since of course, the baby will outgrow it and it would be very very expensive to redo the décor and everything. So instead of sticking to the pastel colors fit for babies, I think we have to plan it out into something that’ll still be easy on the eyes and the budget and still fit the child’s age until God provides for another set of color palette and décor.

Still, regardless of whatever we choose for the look of the room, I've been thinking that we should give out birth announcements and keep one or two of them and frame them for the room. It’s pretty mushy though. But at least our baby won’t say, “You told people about me only via facebook mom!” So I guess we’ve have to take pictures and print them out or maybe do those birth announcements thingies – but just in time for his or her dedication. :)

Naptime Productions can actually answer a few of those worries. They bring you unique cards for every occasion. Personalize everything from graduation to birth announcements!

Update on Scofield

Received reactions for my post on Wentworth Miller being gay - and auditors always see the nitty gritty details...

The article was dated August 28, 2007. And by September 26, 2007, another article went out saying that Wentworth finally answered a journalist regarding this issue saying he's just busy working and looks forward to having a girlfriend and a family.

Seems like better news, eh girls?

I Hate the World Today

Wentworth Miller Goes Public with His Gay Boyfriend

The article says they've been going out since June. The other guy is "Scotty" the boyfriend of "Kevin" in Brothers & Sisters. Wentworth have been denying news that he's gay, saying he's just busy with tapings and all. And now this!

I hate the world today.

Trying to Imagine

...the feeling of having short hair again.

Not the boyish cut, but just shoulder-length hair. I think it definitely feel a lot lighter. Something like this, 'coz I know my hair is not so smooth and sleek, it's actually unruly and kalkag.

Started imagining the feeling because I just got these vibes that I'm sending off "ermitanya" vibes already...

Let me Rant on my Own Little Blog

Because....

These new staff are just f****** irritating. They just don't seem to know what to do! I did NOT really want them on board because their respective interview results were just not satisfactory enough but my supervisor, for the love of God, wanted them in.

And now, this one guy, who always brings tissue paper whenever he goes to the restroom (are you gay?!) always asks stupid questions. Questions that anyone who has tried auditing at least once in his short life can answer. I believe he absolutely thinks that if he asked me what to do and I gave him the answers, in other words, spoon-fed his lame ass, he wouldn't have problems later when I check his work.

Oh really?! I DON'T THINK SO!!!!

I'm not senile, I can remember what things I've discussed in detail, what comments and tips I've given, what reading materials I gave, what other sorts of prep I told them to do, I've exhausted my patience showing them how to do one audit at a time, step by f****** step. And still!?! This...person...isn't sure what to do and keeps on asking these irritatingly stupid questions!

I'm sorry, but I'm not your mom to spoon-feed you. If your teachers gave you everything during college so you can pass their subjects, be called a graduate and pass your freaking board exams, well, I'm different. We went to the same university, that's why I KNOW what kind of education you should have gotten. We dealt with more or less the same teachers, that's why I KNOW what kind of people gave you your undergrad arsenal. I took the same board exams you took and passed it too, that's why I KNOW that you can manage to use your brain for thinking.

For pete's sake man, use your f****** brain! And while trying to do that, please bear in mind, tattoo it in your skin if you need to, I can see past your antics, I've been in this department for more than 3 years already, I've dealt with even more difficult auditees that what you're supposedly having difficulty with right now, colleagues, even supervisors, so take my word for it, I'M NOT STUPID!

And please, stop talking to yourself, stop using the other staff's stuff, stop re-arranging the office furniture, the bulletin board, etc..stop poking your nose on things your not supposed to meddle with! Because if I wanted any of that crap, I'd do it myself.

We all still remember that group of friends that jumped up and down and screamed their lungs out when Venus got into the top 15 of Ms Universe, right? Well, if your memory's failing you, here's the clip of that:

Found the Missing Celebrity Chef

Tom and I were wondering where on earth could this chef have gone after he went M.I.A. from his show in QTV....

An article in Spot.ph said he's still in the country, has his own restaurant now, and is actually married since 2008.

**Kanya-kanyang trip lang yan.**

19 weeks and counting!!!

And according to babycenter, the baby is now about 6 inches long and weighs 9 ounces. Sensory development reaches its peak this week. The nerve cells serving each of the senses - taste, smell, hearing, seeing, and touch - are now developing in their specialized areas of the brain. Nerve cell production slows down as existing nerve cells grow larger and make more complex connections. Hmm, so maybe that's why I feel a lot of fluttering - a LOT of fluttering - (this is how fetal movements at this stage feel like) maybe because the baby can now hear my voice and whatever sounds it can hear from the inside... And recently, I've been feeling a little heavier even though my OB said I didn't gain any weight since my August visit. Hmmm.. Actually I've decided to cut down a little on too much rice so I won't gain too much weight and later have difficulty, right? But I still eat good, always considering this little fella inside.

We also had a good laugh during my last prenatal check-up because we asked if we can already have an ultrasound to determine the gender. My dear OB just laughed us off, said we were too excited. She suggested to have the ultrasound when I'm already on my 6th month, so there'll be very little chances of the ultrasound tech giving us an erroneous answer to the most intriguing question - boy or girl?

My dad also laughed at us when we called them Monday night, I think that was Monday night. Anyway, he asked why we were so curious, well I said it's because we have to pick a color for the baby things! And he blurted out yellow because it's gender neutral. Yikes! Is it? Same with Mark's comment in the movie Juno, we actually haven't seen a guy with a yellow room... :)

Before I Cut my Nails

I wanted to cut my toenails as soon as possible because I'm feeling some of the edges are burrowing themselves in my flesh.

Anyway... I just had a striking realization after looking at some baby bathing videos and listening to Johnson's Baby channel in youtube.

I don't want my child to grow up na hindi marunong mahiya. I want him/her to have just enough hiya or self-respect or self control that he/she just wouldn't barge in and ruin some other kid's photo because he/she just loves to have his/her picture taken. I don't want my child to be like that. Madadala nya kasi pag laki nya. And these kind of people, if not guided properly are those overly self confident to a point na atribida na or antipatiko. Alam mo yun?

Of course I want my kid to have self-esteem. Much like his/her dad who can talk anyone into believing that a giraffe turns into a zebra on a full moon. But I really want my child to know his/her boundaries. Please Lord help me to raise this child properly. As early as now I do pray that we can raise our child to be the best he/she can be. I want him/her to be smart, but not annoying. Bibo, but not palapad-papel. Chatty, but not bratty. Independent, knows what he/she wants, but not a spoiled brat.

Oh please Lord, help us. And also please make all the people around us, I mean ALL, cooperate too.

Test posting from my phone

Just wondering if it actually works.. Lol!

Pagbabago

Masarap. At mabango.

Hey Newbie, Be Warned.

To tell you honestly, you must be very careful. You're treading on thin ice here. I'm just quietly observing. So far, you're on your way to being the second person who didn't get past regularization in this department (probably even this whole company).

Seriously.

You applied for this job, you should at least show interest with what you're supposed to be doing. Auditing doesn't mean you just email people and wait for their replies. You have to get on your feet and go to your auditees, interview them, look at their facial reactions, dig for the documents if you have to. Don't just sit there and warm your office chair. You're not being paid to act as if you're the boss. Just waiting to get instructed and waiting for more. You're not supposed to ask me what you should out in your report because you were supposed to be the who was auditing, right? All the resources are available, you have soft copies, you can borrow the printed forms, you can interview, you can photocopy.. You just have to get your lazy as*s off that friggin' chair and start BEING the auditor you told us you can be during your dang interview!!!

Bilivery.com - there's an Article about you Containing gross misspellings and misinformation

UPDATE:
Still no sign of any reply or reaction from Cebu Daily News... And I found another error:

The article I found online is published at this link: http://globalnation.inquirer.net/cebudailynews/enterprise/view/20100819-287852/Shopping-plus-delivery-on-line-taps-Cebu-OFWs

So I started to read it, since these guys are my brothers-in-law and Sam soon to be my sister-in-law... And I was mortified to find out about the misspellings and a misinformation contained in the said article.

Number 1: Misspelled Name

Claudioniño Abano - It's Claudyniño Anoba

Next, Misinformation

Buboy / Joan / Badz Anoba and Cris are NOT brothers. They're not even related.

I hope Cebu Daily News (who published this in print) can contact the Anoba brothers and tell them about this, and issue an erratum for the published article online and probably in print, if this was the same one published in CDN.

Proofreading is a must. So is getting the CORRECT information.

Just saying.

Hi, Still Alive. How’re you?

So I decided to visit my blog. Just because. And of course, since I didn’t delete it, it’s still here. Stagnant. Just observing. Doing noth...
