Johnson's Baby Shower Contest

Yep, I joined this contest as I mentioned in one of my previous post. And it was just last night that they tagged me with their wall post, which is found here.

If you can remember, but I'll just repeat it anyway, I mentioned that to show support to the contestants, a LOT of LIKEs is needed. And you all now see where exactly I'm going here. Would you please LIKE their page, and LIKE that wall post?!

For convenience, I'm posting the links here so you all wouldn't have a lot of difficulty looking for the links or the buttons:

This contest runs until January 2011. Just in time since Phoenix is due in February. lol! *I sound so confident!*

Anyway, thanks everyone! Share this to all your friends too. Don't worry, liking Johnson's page won't spam your wall with lots of posts, they're actually a quiet bunch in FB.

Pwetty please with sugar on top?! Thanks!

ps: Aside from liking, kindly say a little prayer too. It sure helps..  ;)

Not-so-Mystery After All

Their promo ads said it was a mystery shampoo, but from the day I saw that ad, I immediately knew it was Pantene - apparently we went to the grocery the day after I saw the ad and lo and behold! The new packaging was already displayed, hence, no-brainer.

Anyway.

So as all others did, I joined their online thing, where you register to get your free samples, remember that? I waited and waited and waited, but no, there was no shampoo and conditioner delivery. Until this morning. After months of waiting. It just arrived this morning.

Yep, Pantene. Better late than never.

Wishing for a Wish

Don't roll your eyes on me. If you do, you won't be able to read the rest of this thing. *wink*

Actually I was a bit torn between two major wishes. One might cost a sponsor, or whoever, just about, ummm, let me see, ummm, give or take Php700K. And the other, well, just Php27K or even less.

Got you curious already? Good.

Let's prioritize this then. Let's go to the more special and expensive one helluva wish.

Celerio.
I meant the car, Suzuki Celerio, not the bugs nor the leaf-blowing genius of an artist.

I'm wishing for a brand new slick and shiny black one; not for the chance to win or to buy it with a huge price slash, but to have one without shelling out any amount. Really. Crazy, but it's a wish so sue me. Also because it's really cute and it will fit snugly in our garage.

And the other relatively cheaper wish, is either a Nikon COOLPIX S6000 or a Sony DSC T900. Simply because I'm sort of itching to have a digital camera I can use knowing that I just couldn't buy one for the simplest reason that I can't afford it. lol!

{I suddenly remembered an incident when my husband and I were window-shopping and we happened to stop by a Sony shop. He was looking at the technical specs of a professional Sony camera when I blurted out, "How cute!" on one of the T900s. He just burst out laughing. So I asked. He said while he was busy being "professional", looking and scrutinizing the technical specs, I was out there pointing and ogling at how "cute" the items were. I just couldn't take the memory out of my freakin' head. It was just so airhead-y of me! So what if I found them cameras cute?! LOL! Oh and I again unwittingly used the term with the Celerio a few sentences before this. Didn't you notice?! Hahaha!}

There you go, those ARE my wishes. I'm actually hoping someone filthy rich would go berserk and just give me both with nothing in return - or maybe just for a blog post or two. I dunno. Haha!

Thanks Animetrics!

Yehey!!!!

Aside from today being a Friday, and a payday at that, I received another blessing today...  :)

Tada!
**click the image to enlarge**

Finally received the package! And I would sincerely like to thank Ms Rowena of Animetric's World because this was what I won at her Animetric's Favorite Things anniversary promo. The whole pack was complete with the wave unit itself, one AA battery and pads! Frankly I'm a bit excited to use it tonight... and excited to see how my husband will react to it; 'coz sometimes he also gets excited about things I blog about or even win from online contests... lol!

Anyway, thanks again and hopefully I'd be able to post something when we do actually use it. (Husband included.)

Animetrics Favorite Things

I waited for her announcement, and tragically, I almost forgot about it if not for google reader. lol!

Animetrics is giving away wonderful wonderful stuff this early in the year, and there's actually no harm in trying. {photo credits to Animetrics}

Among these heaven-sent items, I'd rather be given the Neutrogena Wave, which she also has previously reviewed in full detail. Why?

Because I need it, given the current condition of my skin. If you look closely enough you'd notice the deep scars from both acne and chicken pox. I also have uneven skin tone, and pimples. By the way, these are unedited.

sorry about that, hubby and I were goofing around when this shot was taken.

Yes, my face is a problem. Lol! But it's ok. Besides, even if I wanted to buy one on my own, I still would be able to because of a famous line I've learned to despise at times, "Do you need that?" And even if I was able to justify my so called need, I still would be hearing this small voice telling me I can do without it for a while longer because we needed more free cash for our use - since getting married, I have been a bit more careful in letting go of liquid assets, we'd rather save bit by bit for things in the house, or for our monthly amortizations and whatnots.

Anyway, if you're interested about this giveaway thing, go ahead and click on this link, or copy and paste this address to your browser --> http://animetric.blogspot.com/2010/02/animetrics-favorite-things-year-1.html

Hopefully, I get it, the refills are much cheaper compared to the wave unit itself. lol!  ;)

Good luck!   :)

Just Received my Trip or Treats Prize!

From this tweet, I was informed that I won a Christmas Goodie Giveaway from Trip or Treats and finally, through the kindness of Ms Tessa Prieto-Valdes, who I wasn't able to meet (it's okay, I know she's gonna be real busy for the Reveal Fashion Show tonight), it has arrived and is now sitting prettily on my desk.

there it is, with the note from Jean of Trip or Treats...

I liked her stationary... especially the header which says:
"spirituality is the source. love is the force. life is the course."
so cool.

her paperclip was cute too.. it didn't really look like a typical paperclip.

So let me say Thank you again Jean...  :)  I'll try to post pictures of when I try to have it baked already. And oh, regarding that thing you mentioned on the note... Sure, I'd love to work with you, I'm also looking forward to its opening 'coz Tessa's the interior designer, right?

~
So if you too would want to win yourself some goodies, or read some fabulous reviews, see their trips and drool over their treats, just go to Trip or Treats.

Busy and Productive Morning, Hopefully

Seems I may have to pray a little harder.

I need to have a productive busy morning every once in a while, and this is one of those mornings when I really want to have that kind of experience.

Not that I'm saying I'm not at all busy - yes I am, super at that.. But not very productive. I usually spend my days conjuring up audit programs and audit plans for my department, holding meetings with the bosses (official or not), or just listening to them tattle about things they are frustrated about - office related or personal - without even thinking if the person they're talking to is not at all disappointed with whatever things are happening. Hmmm. Martyrdom? Nah.

Anyway, started the morning with Coke in my hands. Not a good idea, right? But I'm still sleepy my monitor blurs out. So I just raided my google reader subscriptions and decided to join another online contest. What the heck, if I win, cool. If not. At least I tried, didn't I?

What to do, what to do. I actually have a meeting this morning, an issue that needs discretion. And my people have an ongoing thing right, of which I'm not so happy. They're beginning to be pain-in-the-arses that I just resulted to just shutting up for a while. Not a good leadership thing to do, but I think I just have to give them a bit of wriggling space to be able to start "thinking" on their own. As usual, have online work. Badz already told me yesterday they are about to start talking to a client about my "online services". Yay! Money, money, money. Less hassle, less tangle, more inflow! I just need more braincells and a decent internet connection. Fair enough.

And oh, I have about 3 - 5 articles left unwritten for another online client. Darn it. She's already asked for updates, but this "issue" I'm handling in the office right now is just more important. But I'll get back to you, I promise!

By the way, do you like to join that contest I was babbling about? Click here.

Why I Desperately Need this.

Because I do!

And because I'm a blogger when I'm not being a professional - go figure. (lol!)

And so  have lots of things to doodle about.
Squiggle this nice blog idea about a list of stupid things to say on a funeral or something.
Jot down notes over the Sunday service.

List my to-do's, majority of which I need another to-do list just to figure out how to finish.
Take down details of a meeting I wasn't so amused with so writing it down lessens the burden.
And these are just a few of the reasons why I really, really, to the level of desperation, need that antique-y aramaic-y leather journal!

This is my answer to the contest sponsored by Yes No Meh and bury me in this dress. Check out Mukhang Pera for more online contests!
