When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes? - Ecc 5:11
I find this true enough. We all have experienced wanting our salaries and other income to increase to accommodate our expenses and payments, right? But haven't you noticed? Once your cash inflow increases - like when you get a raise, or bonus - our outflows, or the expenses, bills, payments, amortizations, etc, also increase? Even the number of people sharing the consumption of groceries or toiletries also tend to increase. Hmmm.
It's not that astonishing though, even though we can't really grasp the reason behind it or even try to explain it, it's just... like that... and it was already documented ages and ages ago.
Cool, huh?
