Manoy Noli

It's a crazy day, mainly because Girlie was here in the office!!!!

{Hahaha, hello Girl, I know you're reading this. And hello MJ!!! Ay! I promised nga pala not to mention your name again. Duh. }

Anyway, so we chatted for a while, almost got late for lunch. Also, I went around the function areas and looked around for something fishy. And guess what I caught? A Vice-President. Yep, you read that right, the Vice President of the Philippines.

He was just calmly sitting there in a beige (was that really beige) sofa set up near the function area where he was the key note speaker for CREBA, and he was talking to two ladies, and guy apparently, from where-the-heck company (of course I didn't bother to ask where they're from, I was almost face to face with "Manoy Noli" for crying out loud!!!). I think he was reviewing a policy of some kind because he was so intent on reading although there was very poor lighting, and then he spoke in a low voice, well, at least low enoug…

Understand Your Self Thru YOUR Name

Fancy meeting you, alone in the crowd, couldn't hep but notice your... frown? hehehe...
So here's my name, and the associated meaning to it, according to this site, so please, indulge me...

You are charming, talented and have a very positive attitude to life so it is hardly surprising that you attract success and recognition. Focused and patient you understand that material rewards are a result of discipline. Being so creative and with a need for self-expression you may be drawn towards the arts, travel is also likely to be important. A loyal friend, you are a person who must be allowed freedom and independence.

I think there is choice possible to us at any moment, as long as we live. But there is no sacrifice. There is a choice, and the rest falls away. Second choice does not exist. Beware of those who talk about sacrifice.

You know it's love when all you want is that person to be happy; even if you're not part of their happiness.

Love is when you look into someone's eyes, and see everything you need.

Lost in the Years

Has it ever occurred to you, that one day you realize that all was gone with the passing of time? They all got lost in the years.

I was doing my usual thought-sorting and was slapped with the fact that, girl, didn't you notice? Almost all of your goals and dreams in the next 5 years or so have already gone crashing down on you? The plans that you carefully built and managed to slowly reach bit by bit has already been scrapped out? I am now just an ordinary happy-go-lucky lady. Whatever happens from now on shall be the work of faith and fate, not my own plans, not my own decisions. I feel I'm too tired to even plan for tomorrow. I can't think straight, I can't even establish a decent goal and find the reins to pull to get myself going. I can't even reach a simple objective as passing a report. I want to go home and take some time off but I dunno. As long as I'm alone with myself I go into this semi/mild depression thing. At least I have my tv babbling away the si…

*Sniff* I'm Sick.... :(

Hohum... *AChoo!*

I'm sick guys, have the freakin' colds, and I've been sneezing away since last night. What a disaster. Great way to have the midweek. *sniff*

Anyway, have to go. Internet thing. And I think I'm going with Irish to go see the coppers that the Engineering bosses are fussing about. *sniff*

Advice for Myself?

From Email to You

It's been a while, huh?

I'm actually trying this feature of blogger where you can post thru email since last week, a friend from within the offices told me that it was brought up in the department heads meeting that the IT manager said that it was because of employees accessing the internet network that's why when the big boss is the one using it, the connection is slow. And it's exactly because of this that the said IT manager is now monitoring all users of the network including the sites visited, the amount of time that they spent on the net, and the time when they started using the internet. So, since I definitely use up a lot of time blogging, I thought maybe, just to NOT annoy people, I won't access the net for a while.
And well, I personally think that the IT's idea of why the connection is slow is just as slow as his thinking process. I think there are other reasons why the connection is slow, and I definitely do not think that it's because of the emp…

Do you guys remember Maskman? How about the original Shaider?

Here's a clip:

Funny, if I remember correctly, I had a crush on Blue & Black Masks/people whatever, and Alexis of Shaider, and Robert of the very first Mask Rider Black series. Hehehe... I found them really cute even though I was still like grade 3... Crazy, huh?

Found this in The Green Grin. I was laughing so hard. Naks naman... I loooovvvveee the comments!!! Really! I think this was brought about by the friendster craze. Forgive me, but I do believe there are lots of profiles like these nowadays. Just don't wanna expose them myself! :)

After a Cup of Noodles...

I'd rather not go and kiss anyone 'coz they'd definitely smell and taste the flavoring. hehe.

Ok, so I'm done with breakfast. Yep, I had noodles for breakfast? So what? And soya milk. So what, again? Hmm. I don't usually like having heavy breakfast, especially if I'm the one buying. Hehe, i'd rather have it free.

So I'm in the office now, feeling a wee bit cranky already even if it's just 9:45am. I hate the feeling, but I think I kinda grew familiar with it and find it a part of a normal day. I really should clean my keypad, it's getting a little moist due to my fingertips. Hmmm.

Ok, so done with that. Do you guys remember MJ, the friend who works in an auditing firm? Well, she's here in our office, of course, doing her audit. And she's with Roy and Charmaine (did I get the spelling right? Leave a line if I didn't, k?)

And she said, "what on earth were you thinking mentioning my name in your blog?"
"Huh? Owww... That... Heh…

Love in the Eyes of a Child

What is LOVE?
A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?"
The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:
"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore.So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."
Rebecca- age 8

"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth."
Billy - age 4
{how sweeettt....}
"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other."
Karl - age 5

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your french fries without making them give you any of theirs."
Chrissy - age 6 {hehehe, cute...}

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired."
Terri - age 4

Some Med School in the Philippines!

Ok folks, this issue has started to bombard the world wide web, especially the browsers of both the curious, and the concerned, people of the Philippines, myself included.

I do watch Desperate Housewives, and for some reason or another, I'm actually watching reruns of the previous season in a local tv station. {I won't mention which station anymore, ok?} And it's only through the news that I learned about the famed "racist" comment from the character of Teri Hatcher, Susan, in Desperate Housewives.

“ok, before we go any further, can I check those diplomas ‘coz I would just like to make sure that they’re not from some med school in the Philippines.”

{take note where the stress of her statement lies...}

Here's the clip:

Hmmm, actually, the truth of it as I personally see it is this: the comment was not directed at Filipino Doctors per Se, but to all those med-related professionals practising their craft in the United States. If you try to review the clip from the fa…

On Letting Go...

Found this article a few months ago, the link was given by Wax. And it's written by Louise Ganey.

---o0o--- When You Can't Let Go

So it's been over for a while. You've tried your best not to ring him or see him. Perhaps you've done the opposite, and sought him out at every opportunity, and rung him when you knew you shouldn't. Either way, you still can't stop thinking about him, and although you may have tried various ways to distract yourself, you can't get him out of your head. Unrequited love is frustrating, painful, and not that uncommon. I've watched quite a few of my close girlfriends experience this kind of heartache to a horrendous degree. I too, have found myself pining pathetically away over a lost love. It's hard, and it hurts. But you can, and will eventually let him go and move on.

So what can you do?

Don't call him or try and see him. It will always end in tears. If by some chance you can catch him, either by phone or in person, you…

Blog Walking

Hmm, "walked" through Girlie's blog after spending a chunk of my afternoon time in our mini-library looking through SOP's and other things. And oh, I just discovered that Mary Jean's gonna be heading the due diligence engagement for our company. Way to go MJ!!! *clap clap clap* So you're a senior now, huh?! Hmmm... Anyway, I also checked myy email, and guess what? Wala lang. Hahaha, joke. In fairness, I just found these articles (which are quite common, mind you) amusing.
---o0o--- CREATING PERFECT RELATIONSHIPS? A person visited the government matchmaker for marriage, SDU, and requested "I am looking for a spouse. Please help me to find a suitable one." Away from Home

I remember the time I started blogging; it was also when I was away from Cebu - the place I called home for quite some time. And now, here I am, reminiscing.

I'm not originally from Cebu. I grew up in Bulacan (that's in Luzon), then we migrated, like birds, to Zamboanga. Funny, because I couldn't understand a whole sentence then without frowning. Hehe.

So I learned to speak Bisaya through my grade 6 classmates. The room was divided into half by then, half was pro their bet for the best student, and the half, was of course, rooting for me. The guys and gals that taught me I considered my barkada also at that time. They were composed of my cousins (my uncles & aunts, actually), and their friends. What they did was that they don't respond to me nor talk to me unless I talk in Bisaya. So what did the freakin' gurl do? Learned and spoke Bisaya. Left me no choice you know.

And after a while I went to Davao. Had to. I was taking the scholarship. And then college to Cebu…

Headbang Part 2

I have a headache but still I choose to update my blog. Great.

Anyway, I'm making a test post for these freakin' smileys. And I hope they work, because I'm gonna have a hard time taking back my aching brain cells for this. Hmmm...I'm actually having my second mug of coffee, a headache and tons of coffee. A deadly combination. Hehehe.

I really wanna bang my head to something that's really hard. I having a damn migraine attack.

It actually started last night, thought I was just having a little sugar rush from having too much coke, but it actually stayed until this morning. I even thought sleeping would be the remedy, but hell no. It still fuc*in' hurts.

As crazy as I can get each day, I actually am ranting about a darn headache while I haven't actually been to the clinic to ask for medication. Well, think I'm going after posting this. Another thing I want to do is just go to my room and sleep the whole day. I really, really wanna do that. Hmmm, think I'm just going undertime today.

Freaking migraines.
