Stress goes a Notch Higher

But it's not fatal.

I just got a pinch of stress added to my routine stress level because I just opened the email saying Big Boss has set a meeting with me. Me. Yes me. I'm not kidding. No matter how I'd like to think that it's a joke, it's not. Grrr. And the fact that I do not have a single strand of idea why in the world we'll be meeting stresses me out some more.

Hmm. It's really a case of curiosity gone wild. It's because that appointed time was set with just myself he'll meet with.

What do you think are we gonna talk about? Is he gonna pull my hair out because of something I did or didn't do? Is he gonna scold me 'til my blood run thin? Or... or.... What do you think?!

Grrrr!!!

At Last - Just Dance Acapella!

This video has been circulating facebook for quite a long while now, and I'm sure has been featured in tv shows for making such a ruckus.

In fairness, they ARE really good. And so at last! I decided to finally watch and listen to it. Curiosity just killed the cat.

Here it is:

Where's the Lechon?

Lechon, if you do not know anything about it, is roasted pig.

We went home early because there was a "party" in Tom's workplace and he was so excited because there was gonna be a lot of lechon to feast on. But to my disappointment and annoyance, not a single strand of lechon meat landed on my plate. Grrr.

Good thing, there's gonna be another eating thing in the Finance department today. And the main dish? Lechon!

Marlene Aguilar and Uncle Fester

Woke up too early. More or less 4am, and right now I'm still a bit groggy. I'm kinda developing this ability to wake up at about 4 to 4:30 in the morning just to go to the bathroom. jeez.

Anyway.

So Tom and I were having our breakfast, he was speeding away, zooming through his sisig special (not too early for sisig, y'know!) and adobong camote tops when up in the tv comes Marlene Aguilar, all cooked to brown perfection (sorry 'bout that.. couldn't help but notice!). And she starts saying things I really couldn't put in the same plane as with the word "sane".

Marlene Aguilar
Imagine. Asked to give a comment about rumors or statements that she needs to be checked out psychologically, she just says she's smarter than everyone else and that nobody can understand. I'd say! And she keeps on repeating that her son was set-up. Asked also what she can comment on the NBI finding that the gun used in killing the son of the diplomat and the gun that her son used during the crossfire was one and the same, she says her bodyguard has access to the gun. Huh? Her son used the gun and she says her bodyguard can touch and use it anytime. Crazy.

Moving on.

Uncle Fester came by the office again, now showing his "brainchild". This internal monitoring thing, which I think is not that genius, really. But the report's going out today, and basically, this piece of information may have been useful some other time, but not at this particular moment. He has actually dropped by about 3 times already since our discussion yesterday, giving copies of requests, or releases. And now this. He gave me one binder-full of these monitoring sheets. What on earth are they using now if I have their file? Hmmm?

Busy and Productive Morning, Hopefully

Seems I may have to pray a little harder.

I need to have a productive busy morning every once in a while, and this is one of those mornings when I really want to have that kind of experience.

Not that I'm saying I'm not at all busy - yes I am, super at that.. But not very productive. I usually spend my days conjuring up audit programs and audit plans for my department, holding meetings with the bosses (official or not), or just listening to them tattle about things they are frustrated about - office related or personal - without even thinking if the person they're talking to is not at all disappointed with whatever things are happening. Hmmm. Martyrdom? Nah.

Anyway, started the morning with Coke in my hands. Not a good idea, right? But I'm still sleepy my monitor blurs out. So I just raided my google reader subscriptions and decided to join another online contest. What the heck, if I win, cool. If not. At least I tried, didn't I?

What to do, what to do. I actually have a meeting this morning, an issue that needs discretion. And my people have an ongoing thing right, of which I'm not so happy. They're beginning to be pain-in-the-arses that I just resulted to just shutting up for a while. Not a good leadership thing to do, but I think I just have to give them a bit of wriggling space to be able to start "thinking" on their own. As usual, have online work. Badz already told me yesterday they are about to start talking to a client about my "online services". Yay! Money, money, money. Less hassle, less tangle, more inflow! I just need more braincells and a decent internet connection. Fair enough.

And oh, I have about 3 - 5 articles left unwritten for another online client. Darn it. She's already asked for updates, but this "issue" I'm handling in the office right now is just more important. But I'll get back to you, I promise!

By the way, do you like to join that contest I was babbling about? Click here.

Why I Desperately Need this.

Because I do!

And because I'm a blogger when I'm not being a professional - go figure. (lol!)

And so  have lots of things to doodle about.
Squiggle this nice blog idea about a list of stupid things to say on a funeral or something.
Jot down notes over the Sunday service.

List my to-do's, majority of which I need another to-do list just to figure out how to finish.
Take down details of a meeting I wasn't so amused with so writing it down lessens the burden.
And these are just a few of the reasons why I really, really, to the level of desperation, need that antique-y aramaic-y leather journal!

This is my answer to the contest sponsored by Yes No Meh and bury me in this dress. Check out Mukhang Pera for more online contests!

Someone Replied! lol!

And from such an unexpected username - Red Apple.

Red Apple said I may have actually "inspired" him to start blogging or something and such a good blog follower he is, he commented on my post.

And guess what he said:

"Send me some samples first.."

Hmm.. Such confidence my dear. Lol!

A funny way to start the morning.  :)

Play Online Casino or Slots!

Let’s play online casino!

Or maybe later. Whichever you choose, online casinos has already started to sprout everywhere like mushrooms. So what is this all about exactly?

Some sites provide online casino games via download. Some you can play onsite. Online casinos are much like the real thing – involves money, taken or given, involves other players, and a game of chance. The mechanics are the same, except of course that you can be playing while in your cozy recliner, taking a break from work, or blogging about something else and you just wanted to have something else to do.

Most sites have included pages for instructions. Some even have promotions like double your money, or “We’ll give you $150 for every $200 played!” or things like that. Others display their proud list of all online games that everyone in the world can play or gamble into like blackjack, poker, and even slots!

One of the advantages of just of playing online casinos is that you can play anywhere in the world, with anyone in the world with just a few clicks of the mouse. You can limit your spending to your content since you won’t be too tempted to stay and finish up everything – you can just click the “x” mark to exit.

Another is that security risks are actually minimized since your co-players can’t actually touch you or your things, they may see you online via your profile picture, if you have any, but privacy issues can be controlled based on your personal requirements.

Just imagine, the joy, the excitement, the security, the chance to ask your husband (or wife) to help you in a turn, or consult books, other materials, even your friends while you’re at it, just to win or save yourself from a losing streak. All because you play online casino. So visit your online casinos now!

I Think We Need a Rack!

So far we've managed to scrimp a bit to be able to buy that really nice dining set that's now sitting on our dining area (not so much of a room yet, we haven't gotten to the renovation stage...), still we have those dozens and dozens of books and other literature lying around, crowding our headboard.

It's a welcome site, reminding us of how far we've gone so far in our careers, due to the volume of review books displayed, most of which are not are own but borrowed from kind souls, but we also have a bit of a collection of other reading materials like Bob Ong's creations, Toastmasters' magazines, even Reader's Digest volumes, but, no decent magazine rack nor literature organizer to put them in.

Hmm... lurked around the net and I think this would be a very lovely piece to put by the tv rack/table.

What do you think?

A Clear Wireless Internet New Year

Thank you so much to all those who pass by and take time reading this blog, to all my subscribers, my twitter friends and facebook friends - Happy New Year to all of you!

It's quite a wireless new year for us here in Maria Luisa, the subdivision of one of the sisters-in-law. Thank you to the neighbor who has turned on their very clear wireless internet connection without asking for a password. ;)

I have noticed having problems lately connecting to a wi-fi network, especially networks with passwords. And as miserable as I can get, I just sigh out my frustrations over this failed wireless network connections. Plus, I'm also on a wireless connection from my parents who are somewhere in the provinces.

{Sorry for not being with you this year Dad and Mom, aside from financial restraints, I'm also trying to shoo away fears of election violence occurring within 1 mile from where I may be standing.}

Anyway, thanks to technology, I can connect to my family over there, and to all my friends and "family" in the internet.

Again, a blessed new year to all and may God shower us with more blessings so we can be more thankful.  :)
