Idle Hands are the... hands of someone else. lol!

Ok, kidding aside, I have also been a bit busy - with the wedding, with work, with the house and the people that live in it, and don't forget our grass too.

But all has not been purely work. I also spend an okay amount of time entertaining my strained eyes and tired brain - by wearing out even more via of course, FB. *to all the non-geeks, FB is facebook.*

Going on.

I just remembered that I have to check with my wedding list in my other blog. Need to update it so I can review it sometime later. Aside from leisure and wedding preps, I'm also quite preoccupied looking at numbers from the different departments here in out company trying to figure our an efficient way to analyze manning levels. Someone said it's called a time-motion study, but I doubt that term is useful right now.

BTW, got to go. it's almost 5PM and I still have two files to look at. *sigh*

Unity Coins, Arrhae, Gold & Silver

We were so busy preparing for other important and bigger detail of the wedding that somehow I've overlooked some accessories like the arrhae or "arras" in Filipino.

These are coins that are given by the groom to the bride during the ceremony to symbolize the commitment of the groom to be the provider of the family, especially int the financial meaning of the word "provider".

Now, think I'll be browsing the net and the local thrift stores for coins, gold or not. And so far, I've stumbled upon this site, maybe totally relevant or irrelevant to arrhaes and all - Goldcoinsgain.com.

At goldcoinsgain.com, you can buy gold coins, whether antique or not, and even bullions! I just wish my money in Mafia Wars in Facebook can be converted into real currency and buy me a few of those gold bars.... yikes!

Anyway, have to scour the bridal stores now to find me my arrhae.

Michael Jackson Direct from TV

oh my, I think I've seen too many news and tributes to Michael Jackson to last me for more than a year!

Maybe it's because we do not have cable channels or access to just the channels we want. I was even thinking of asking for quotations from a direct tv channel provider like directsattv.com - they offer several packages which includes, thank God, family channels with parental controls and programming suitable for all ages.

What I really liked about directsattv is that all their channels are of digital quality and when the lines are out, your TV won't be useless. We all experienced this before - when electricity lines are out in the part of the city where the cable office is at, our cable channels are gone! Well in directsattv, they claim we won't have this problem.

But I'd always opt for a package where I can watch UFC. lol!
